The club’s summer event held in July, our first ever wine tasting with dinner and live entertainment, proved tremendously popular with members and guests alike. In sweltering temperatures, our friends from Ex Cellar in Ashtead and specialist wine importer ABS Wines hosted a tasting comprising a magnificent selection of 25 wines from around the World. This was followed by a tasty hog roast with homemade desserts and music provided by the wonderful ‘Band from the Pub’. All in all, an enjoyable evening but one which has raised the bar somewhat and which the committee may find hard to better next summer!
