2017 has been a year of change … at least as far as the format of the Club’s Annual General Meeting is concerned. This month saw the launch of the new streamlined AGM and introduction of a member’s tasting presentation in place of the usual wine quiz.  With the business half of the meeting over, the members tucked in to a tasty Ploughman’s Supper and settled back to enjoy David’s entertaining and light-hearted tales from a recent wine trip to the Rhône Valley in France.  Complete with photos, anecdotes, and accompanied by two lovely wines from the area (a Lirac blanc and a red Costières de Nîmes), a convivial evening was had by all.  In fact, the ‘new look’ AGM was judged to have been an overall success and we look forward to inviting David back in October 2018 to regale us with … you’ve guessed it (or read it in the 2018 programme already) … ‘Wine Trip Tales 2’.
